School News 
PARCC Testing 

​Students in the 3rd - 5th grades will begin taking the PARCC tests on Tuesday, March 21st. Students will take one test each day for 7 days. Students will be tested in English Language Arts and Math. Make-up tests will be administered following the tests. Please make sure your child is on time and well rested. Encourage your child to eat breakfast each morning at home or at school. 
​Book Fair 
Please watch for our newsletter to come home. This new initiative is meant to increase a desire for students to read. Each month we feature student readers. Please read this with your child and encourage them to submit a book review to be featured in future newsletters.

Scholoastic Book Fair 
Washington-Monroe will be hosting at book fair from March 6-10 in the library. Students will have the opportunity to browse and then buy books. All proceeds will go to adding additional books to our library. The book fair will be open on the evening of March 9th for families. We are also planning a family reading night for the same evening. Watch your child's backpack for more information.
