2016 - 2017 Spring Registration
Spring registration for 2016-2017 School year will begin on April 4th. All students who are currently enrolled in District #27 will receive registration packets for next year. Please complete those and return them to school as soon as possible. Look at the current information carefully and make any necessary changes. These forms are due back by April 15, 2016. There will be an enrollment period in August but in order to get your child on the class list and guarantee a spot at your home school, you should register now. Payment can be made at a later date.
PARCC Testing
Common Core Standards
Spring Escape
Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will begin taking the PARCC tests on April 11th. We will be testing through the end of April. Each student will take three tests in English Language Arts and four tests in Math. These tests will help measure the student's mastery of Common Core Learning Standards. All tests are on the computer. Students will not test each day. The tests are spread out and scheduled so they don't miss their specialist activities. Please help them do their best by making sure they get a good night's sleep, have breakfast and encourage them to do their best! Free breakfast is served at school every morning.

Summer Reading Program
Washington-Monroe students will be participating in the Lincoln Public Library's Summer Reading Program again this year. We will be hosting a visitor from the library on Tuesday, May 3rd during our opening to tell us all about the exciting things they have planned for the summer.
We are currently registering new Kindergarten students for the 2016-2017 school year. Parents may come to the office during school hours to register their child. Students must be 5 on or before August 31, 2016 to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2016-2017 school year.  We will host an open house for all students on Thursday, August 18, 2016. This will give new students a chance to meet friends and teachers. Please mark your calendar and plan on joining us for food and fun.
